Sing Out! evening classes and day-long workshops

Jess regularly teaches Sheffield based 10-week evening classes. The course is designed for anybody who wants to gain confidence, explore technique and sing with others in a gentle, safe environment.

in Langsett Seminar Room, Burton Street Foundation, 57 Burton Street, Hillsborough, Sheffield, S6 2HH – fully accessible level access.

We’ll look at the basics – breathing, projection, ear training and tone control. We’ll also explore singing in harmony, taught and improvised.

In addition, there is also a follow on course Sing Out Some More! for people who have previously attended the Sing Out! course. Next course will start 2021.

Voice Lessons

Looking for vocal tuition in the Sheffield area? Jess offers beginner/intermediate singing lessons geared towards building confidence with your singing. Lessons and exercises cover all the basics – breathing, posture, projection, tuning and tone control. Coaching sessions are one-to-one, and give you the opportunity to work on your own choice of material, in your own style.

Melodeon Lessons

Richard offers beginner’s melodeon lessons and specialises in teaching how to play for dance. Lessons cover basics such as how to find your way around the instrument and using both hands, as well as the subtleties of accompanying dancing. Coaching sessions are one-to-one, and give you the opportunity to work on your own choice of material, in your own style.
